They outsourced a lot of the development too so it’s actually much more than that. And didn’t the soundtrack require an Orchestra?
Indie should just mean really small team OR, maybe the first game of a ragtag group of like 25 Nerds with NO PUBLISHER if they worked for free for years.

It’s literally no different from Acclaim publishing a game by Iguana Entertainment like Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. It’s the exact same thing.
My definition works imo. I mean I don’t want to disqualify some group of 2 Nerds just bc they have a publisher. It should just mean a Small Game. Maybe something a little bigger if it’s made by passionate Nerds with no money. |
