I independently figured out the boost lvl. 2 hack in shining force 1 and it was among the highlights of my childhood accomplishments.

Though sadly the replay value as an adult is very low :(

I found this mom and pop game store in the mall that had a fat stack of sealed Shining Force III (saturn) games. I kept going back and buying them for $50 and selling them on ebay for $150. Mint copies are like $300-$400 now and I assume sealed is double that so their appreciation roughly kept up with the SP500 in the time since then.
