You have to take a chance on a really smart, ambitious white guy to get a good movie. And he might have to fail a few times first. And you can't have any editorial oversight. No committees. Risk on. And even then the odds are really low that any one dude is going to actually be a genius. The whole generation of Nolan, Tarantino, Fincher, Anderson, Villeneuve, Von Trier was the last to ship. There's no new generation. There isn't one Gen Y Film Autist. It just stops. You need a Visionary to lead filmmaking. Who is 'the guy' now? Gen X was the last Gen. No Millennials made it.
