Also, I strongly dislike the proliferation of “landscaping crews” with their big trailers driving around everywhere, using massive zero turn mowers on suburban yards, etc. it’s horrible. Those people will cut your grass down to a nub and then the sun will kill it and you will get weeds anyway, so you really have to have the landscaper special, where you buy seeding and refeeding in winter, yards and yards of mulch, water all through summer (and the accompanying irrigation system repair and maintenance) all to keep your lawn looking green (for what purpose?).
