The ripple effects of this are driving a meta-crisis that has led to massive proxy wars and the total stomping out of Europe's economy. It is also the proximate cause of "Covid" IMO.
I still don't think it will lead to an actual world war, but it's not going to be a fun ride for the foreseeable future.
I think it can be argued that Trump was allowed to win because he is more willing (and able) to act boldly in a number of ways relating to this. Venezuela, Iran, etc.
Not saying I like all that he's doing, but the underlying conditions are the cause. Trump is simply steering the ship through them. |
