Imagine a character (played by Joel Edgerton) that's dumber than Forrest Gump with no charisma, and never says, does or meets anyone interesting. I almost turned the movie off after nothing interesting happened for like an hour and saw there were 20 mins left. That last 20 mins somehow went by even slower than the earlier part. He meets some chick that he declines to fuck but nobody knows why. Maybe he's gay?
As the main character is reminiscing about his entire life, I felt sad for him that one of his cherished memories was about an even dumber bigger loser (William H. Macy) he met while logging, who never did or said anything memorable either.

So basically obeezy and Luis liked this movie?
And both sound like pretentious dorks who think I wasn't "deep" enough to appreciate the subtext of a movie based on 80 page book
Any other film snobs with a substantive defense?
