Keegan’s the kind of guy who reads every page of the employee manual and treats it like scripture. Today, as soon as a dark cloud rolled in, he grabbed his coat.
“Storm’s coming,” he said, pointing at the sky. “OSHA says I can’t work in unsafe conditions.”
It wasn’t even raining yet. I told him we had indoor work to do. He scoffed, “Doesn’t matter. You don’t want to mess with OSHA, friend.”
He left, leaving me to handle the dinner rush solo while he probably sat at home googling “OSHA loopholes.” By the time I locked up, the sky had cleared, and Keegan texted the group chat: “Stay safe out there, guys!”
Mopped in silence and whispered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.”
