In-laws, yes. They would be content staring at their iPads all day and never leaving the house. FIL turns into a zombie when tv is on. It is almost impossible to get them to do something outside with the grandkids. Even taking them out to eat is a task. As a result, they come over to play with the grandkids (MIL does a bit but FIL largely sits in same room and stares at who knows what on his iPad) and that’s about it. We’ve done <10 things with them ever and that includes meals out. They’re mid-70s and not fat.
My parents are cool and do activities with kids and we occasionally take family vacations with them. Slowing just a bit now in their early 70s but that’s life. :(

Statins for their ASCVD poisons their mitochondria and starves their brain.
Metformin for their prediabetes poisons their mitochondria so their cells can't produce energy
Gabapentin for their neuropathy is basically like being a mix of drunk and on benzos 24/7 and promptly causes dementia
Beta blockers for their hypertension make them unable to get excited about anything.
I can go on and on.
