For the second time, we have a smart, capable, experienced woman who lost to Donald Trump. But this time was even worse. In 2016, Hillary Clinton was unfairly smeared by misogynistic attacks. It was still close, a shocking upset fueled by the injustices of the "Electoral College" a system designed by slaveholders for the purpose of keeping slavery.
But this time was no excuse. Donald Trump had shown his true colors in a chaotic presidency marred by a racist Muslim ban, appeasement to Vladimir Putin, children in cages, the murder of Black men by unleashed police, and everything to do with the pandemic.
Driven from office in total disgrace, Donald Trump committed insurrection and became the first President ever to be impeached twice. He was indicted for mishandling archival materials and convicted for multiple felonies in connection with a fraudulent scheme to influence the election by suppressing honest press coverage of his consensual sex with an adult film actress. He called for the assassination of political opponents, promising a bloodbath. He fomented insult against the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Men, listen up. This is a record of shame. The women in our lives have seen how too many, far too many, of us acted at the ballot box. Instead of advancing the promise of America and shattering the glass ceiling, we grabbed her by the pussy (in a political sense) and violated the promise of the Nineteenth Amendment. What is the source of this anger, this rage? Why are so many men so threatened by strong independent women?
As a man, I am ashamed. Men, take a long look in the mirror? Is this the price of your penis? This madness, this injustice?
