how much would a program to locate and obtain amber-trapped mosquito specimens all over the planet, years (decades?) of bleeding edge biological research, development of a stunningly novel husbandry system, and construction of a world-class resort and theme park on a remote island in the third world cost? how many visitors were they expecting to attract to a remote island off the coast of brazil and at what price?

i did enjoy the lengthy discussion of tax structuring (which appeared plausible) but it was kind of ridiculous in the context of their absurd credit risk rate assumptions in their wacc calculation.

Feels as though holding a lot of defensible IP in genetic cloning was the actual economic play.

the film really should have dug a lot deeper into the credit default remedies they were able to negotiate imo.

The Taylor Swift ticket grossed $1.5 billion and probably 3X that when you consider scalping prices.

You dont think people are shelling out for fcking dinosaurs?

The park also did too much too soon. Start with the smaller dinosaurs and suck as much cash out of them as you can. Then a couple years later introduce brontosauruses. Then a couple years after that velociraptors. Then finally a T-Rex. Doing too much too soon meant that they would have sold some people one ticket when they could have sold them five tickets over a decade.
