i was barred from my apartment for like two weeks and had to live in a hotel. i couldn't even go to downtown silver spring bc the monitor could go off.
i tried an arbitration on zoom with this thing on.

it was really uncomfortable. i also had to be sure to charge it regularly. it had a battery life of 8-10 hours or whatever, and if the battery died it would set an alarm off and the cops would come get you. or so i was told. i did a number of client calls with my leg propped near a power outlet.
i'd say a really low point in my life was my then-gf and i (in violation of my probation, as i wasn't supposed to be within like 1000 feet of her) picking my kids up at my house (which i didn't live in anymore) while wearing the ankle bracelet and driving to hershey park (after i had confirmed with the probation people that hershey was in an acceptable radius and wouldn't get me arrested). we stopped by a hs friend's house who lives up there and i just thought to myself what the fuck is going on in my life rn.
but there were a lot of low points like this during this particular period of time.

i really doubt it had any real lasting effect. i lived about a mile away and they were with me half the time (except for about a month when i was spinning out of control and i only saw them when i went to pick them up at the house for the day), and the entire time i was out of the house was about a year and a half. and unbelievably, my wife and i got along the entire time so there wasn't any fighting and shit going on in front of them.
there's zero chance the younger one is affected by it at all. highly doubt it for the older one too.
my childhood, however, left a lasting impact, but this was about 1/1000th of that.
