Are asians actually smart?

Date: September 14th, 2020 9:36 AM Author: Bright bearded station They definitely do better on standardized tests but I'm beginning to believe that standardized tests have relatively little correlation to intelligence and instead measure something else, such as ability to solve problems that are highly predictable, if sometimes complex, and to be able to do things for extended periods of time without experiencing boredom or intense emotions.
Asian's verbal abilities may be questionable at times, but asians clearly shine in science and math based standardized tests. They are disproportionately represented in medicine, and yet no one thinks that asians are good at solving complex medical problems. They are often successful in surgical specialties or anesthesiology but I'm not really sure what skills are helpful in these areas. There is almost no modern record of math or scientific accomplishment in China of any kind despite in theory having a nation filled with extremely high numbers of people who can do extremely well on tests in these areas.

Many were some level of Frank Grimes pissed at the world and couldn't comprehend that there were people who are smart without trying. They spend all of their intellectual horsepower towards superstudying for standardized tests and grades that they have nothing left over to be truly creative and inventive. A good example is African Americans and basketball... if you have natural talent (freak athletics and height) coupled with insane drive and discipline you get Michael Jordan. The vast majority of asians have the insane drive towards academic achievement but lack the talent to make lasting impacts. |

if you take a bunch of IQ tests and study you can “increase” your IQ

You're already starting to see a big jump in their c-suite leadership numbers, especially in tech.
