Date: November 19th, 2024 9:00 PM Author: OldHLSDude Mission to get to AZ. F-150. A couple of places are interesting and merit further exploration: the bourbon area around Bardstown in KY and Las Cruces.
Funniest thing that happened on the trip was that when we stopped in my small home town to visit I went into the local post office to mail a letter for my wife and check my friend's PO box (she is 93 and asked me to do it so she could avoid walking up the rain slick stairs). A middle aged black gentleman, who looked and sounded quite normal, asked me where to mail letters. I pointed him to the place. He thanked me and said it was the first time he had ever been in a post office. It's that kind of place. |
