It definitely wasn't as overt though I think people moving towards that camp was an inevitability with some of what we've seen from the left, although I agree that by and large the tones it's taken on have become diverted slop without much of a vision for the future beyond "more of the same". It's lost its anti-establishment edge and the real populist interests that carried it forward will probably wind up somewhat disappointed |

this has led to a loss of basic political coherence. trump's supporters in 2024 don't have specific demands, and they certainly don't have any kind of foundational unity which would hold them together in the absence of trump himself. |
