toyota avalon is tcr, you're going to run this car into the ground in a few years and taking that loss on some stupid luxury car is foolish when you can't really get any more comfortable than an avalon without buying something stupid

- SUV: Lexus LX600 with all the offroad options. Very reliable, very capable, very comfortable to drive.

- sedan: Porsche Panamera S or Audi RS7. Nicest 4 doors around, imo. Ridiculously nice to drive and higher performance than you'll ever use if you don't take them to a track.

- truck: for a daily driver, Rams and Fords are basically interchangeable at the nicest trim levels, just go woth whichever cab you like better. If you're ever going to actually tow shit, a Ram 3500 with the Cummins is easily best in class and it's really not close. Chevy and GMC are pretty gay, I'd stick with Ford or Ram.

I haven't heard much bad about the 6.7, and I have two buddies who own them in different years (both farm trucks, lotta hauling), but the 5.9 is largely analog which typically makes them more reliable.

They recalled the engines on the LX600.

Get an ES350 with the V6 while you still can. Or an IS500 if you are into that. Personally, if you don’t need actual back seats the LC500 is really nice and they finally updated the infotainment.

I'm assuming he's buying new since he said money is no object, but yeah, definitely not the LX if he's buying used. The GX is better if buying used.

As far as sedans, if money is no object idk why not buy a fast one. If you want comfort, get an SUV; if you're getting a sedan, there's no reason not to buy something with some performance.
