Kelly’s “emotional support peacock” strutted into the store today, trailing feathers and chaos. She insists it helps with her “anxiety in high-stress environments.” That stress apparently includes pricing checks for expired Lunchables.
Within an hour, the bird was squawking and knocking over jars of salsa while Kelly calmly sipped an iced latte, murmuring, “He senses my tension.” Customers screamed as it perched atop the cereal display, feathers raining down on crying toddlers.
HR backed her, citing “legally protected emotional support accommodations.” I chased that demon bird for 45 minutes. Kelly never moved.
Swept up feathers, dodged BBW scooters, and whispered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.”
