I own my office building. Interest rate is 8.4%. I owe about $120k on it.

Should I just hurry up and pay the fucker off or just continue to make minimum payments and keep my money in the bank?

The return on investment from paying off debt equals the interest rate on that debt. So paying off the mortgage gives you an 8.4% annualized return. Less than the S&P 500, my thought is make the minimum payments and invest the money that you would have spent otherwise.

But why is it a good idea to continue paying 8.4% in interest to the Je...individuals over my loan?
