That makes seeing someone solely squandering it on personal pleasures sad, even if I'm sympathetic to wealthy kid burnouts. |

And so they can socialize with other people who have the same standard of living (read: rank hedonism) that they do. They get uncomfortable if you bring up striving to be honest. If someone says oh boy I had to work really hard on something. I had to cut back this month. They freak out, internally. They literally don't get it, and they wouldn't ever want to. Not in a million years. So yeah protecting their assets and social stratification is paramount to them.
