They havent made outright legal claims for either odessa or kiev.
The sloviansk/kramatorsk agglomeration + zaporhizia would be argued by russia as a de facto victory. Clear cut victory would require retaking kherson too. But that seems really unlikely.
At the current pace it seems totally reasonable for russia to take both sloviansk and zap under siege during 2026 and actually take them in 2027.
True its pretty meager. But still worse for ukraine than what could have been had in 2022. Without the millions of death and awful slav migrants invading our public spaces. But hey at least we got to pay higher gas prices in the meantime!

The EU is still sending huge amounts of money. Half the cabinet is vacant because they're not willing to reduce their share, so they're reducing the number of people with their hands out.
The military command is filled with exactly the same sort of people.
A pro-Russian figure? Like who, Arestovich? None of these people will allow that.

Meh. People have been saying that since june '22.look at the actual progress. Suriyaks new map is pretty helpful in understanding the pace of gains. 2025 was only slightly more than 2024. I get it all depends on future pace of acceleration. But theres no reason to assume weve arrived at some inflection point of exponential territory gains. its been really really slow and linear acceleration.
ukraine surrendered its sovereignty and is now managed by an efficient nato decision making cadre with access to deep intelligenxe. The "benefit" to this is the nato managers can dispassionately order a place like myrnograd to make 3rd reich-like stands for months rather than retreat for domestic casualty concerns.
The mext gen intelligence + removal from domestic polticial pressure has made the nato command structure suprisingly effective at plugging gaps. It still takes many days for russians to take little hamlets on the way to huliapole. Huliapole is a fait accompli but it will still take weeks if not months to unfold.
