Born in Seattle, Washington on May 3, 1951, Pugmire began seriously writingfiction in the early 70s after serving twoyears in Ireland as a Mormon missionary. Disgusted with his early tales, he stopped writing for seven years, at which time he became involved in the local Seattle punk underground, publishing his fanzine, Punk Lust, for five years. At the urging of Salmonson, he has recently returned to writing fiction. Pugmire says that his hobbies are “dressing up like Boy George and cruising construction sites. |
