It's funny my father who is a wealthy boomer with a lifelong net zero interest in materialism whatsoever the one thing he judges people hard on is their suits. He owns one dress watch, he has never bought a sportscar. But he is ruthless about tacky suits. He can look at a suit in the blink of an eye tell you what's wrong with it. He keeps a mental list of whose suits are Right and Wrong. Wrong suits are basically a crime against humanity. They are Rules goddamnit.
