Most famous musical instrument ever is Eddie Van Halen's Frankenstein guitar?

is that the name of it? lmao I have been drawing that guitar since I was in 3rd grade and i never knew it had a name
trying to think of other candidates:
not nearly as famous, but rock-heads should recognize
bb king's lucille
slash's gibson
keith richard telecaster
id recognize sid vicious's blood smeared fender bass
oh... here's a more famous one, tho still not like eddie's: paul mccartney's violin shaped bass

dunno. BB King was never on MTV. Van Halen was one of the biggest rock bands of all time, all over MTV, seen by millions, loved worldwide, and there is one guitar that was associated with the entire band.
Also Lucille is just a standard looking Gibson ES-355. The Frankenstein is some crazy looking super-strat that is immediately recognizable.
I'm with you on the Zakk Wylde Bullseye Gibson Les Paul Custom, but only metal heads know that one. I kick myself for not taking out a loan back in like 2008 when those were in stores for like $3k (at the time I thought that was absurdly expensive, now they are like $12k+ used lol)

I think this is a fair assessment.
Honestly, I think I was just never as into Van Halen as much as the general public was, and so maybe I'm not giving him enough credit.
Regardless, I fucking LOVE LOVE LOVE Zakk's Les Paul. Probably my favorite guitar ever. Kirk Hammett's Ouija guitar is prob my #2.

It’s probably the only musical instrument you could show a man on the street and they would make the connection to the artist. Among music fans and guitar players it’s definitely the most famous. I can’t really think of anything that comes close except maybe Kirk Hammett’s “Caution: Hot” guitar. Maybe Yngwie’s cream strat with the oversized reverse headstock to a way lesser degree.
I think the others mentioned above are too generic to instantly connect it with the artist.

obviously it's either wayne's stratocaster from wayne's world or Lisa's saxophone. no one cares about any of this obscure shit.

The ten-stringed harp mentioned in Psalm 144:9, shitlib.
