A1C -- 5.7 last time I got it checked, but my piss was frothy past few months so I went in to see my PC and he said there was 156 something of sugar in my urine and that sent me a lab requisition for a metabolic panel which I'll do tomorrow.
My fasting blood sugar has only one time been over a 100, but most of the time is around 90.
Past few months have been rough and I've been eating chick fil a and mcdonalds and washing it down with a large coke nearly daily

most recent test was march 25, 2024 - was getting blood work regularly as I was on low dose accutane
Highest ever glucose reading was 150
Glucose was 111 mg/dl
AST 20
ALT 31
When I would have protein shakes before a test my ALT would be high af at 52
don't think my A1C was being checked. but I'll look for it

if serious, do dinner only for the next 7 days. make sure dinner is heavy in fats/protein (dont have pizza, pasta, or other heavy carb things). clearly eat some carbs, but dont make carbs the majority of your dinner.
after that week, do a 3 day fast with water/coffee/salt only and switch to a low carb diet.

easy enough then
look, i have half a bagel for breakfast and one fucking beefsteak tomato w a shake of salt for lunch. dinner i have grilled chicken or something like that. or one lousy baker sized potato in the microwave w margerine and salt which is enough for dinner if you add some scotch or a light beer or two (less than ideal but if you bought into law as a career you also bought into alcohol). you just have to cut back if you want to see your kids wedding etc and are already fucking old.
Metabolism slows down as you age and you have to accommodate. sugary snacks epoch may be over for you.

update: (also goes without saying my health concerns are not flame)
a week before friday, got metabolic panel that didn't include a1c for some reason, cholesterol is high, triglycerides high, but the most concerning thing was that my blood glucose was 209 mg/dl, way outside the acceptable range of fasted blood sugar which is 65-99 mg/dl.
Immediately, I went low carb and one meal a day (OMAD). I fasted between wednesday night and friday morning. Kept it keto (high protein, higher fat, minimal carbs) friday. Fasted from friday night to saturday night. Last night, after ordering a steak salad, which didn't really satiate me and I still had hunger pangs.
So, super late night, I was craving carbs so I ordered some azn sweet milk tea, and italian rose soda, two slices of cake (cheesecake with caramel on top and a nutella cheesecake deal). I haven't eaten anything since, this was like 1 to 2 am last night. Haven't eaten anything since.
Right now, I'm "hungry" most of the time and my will power to continue is waning. Anyone have any helpful advice? Also, I have a lab requisition, thinking of getting follow up blood work done this wednesday or friday after having fasted 30 hours. Thoughts? suggestions? encouragement?

Yeah basically because Losers have shitty pancreases. Loser Pancreas Theory:
A Jock can just do CICO and eat whatever. Energy from carbs gets released and drives him to excel. Then insulin gets released at the exact right time.
If a Loser eats sugar or carbs, his pancreas releases insulin and it gets stored as fat. If he overdoes it, he develops insulin resistance and blood glucose goes through the roof. The only way for Losers to do CICO properly is to fast. If they eat food then their Pancreas will sabotage them. Jocks say “just do CICO,” but they don’t understand how lethargic Losers can get or how shitty their Pancreases are.
