It'll be good law (no potus has used this clause before, and it's pretty obviously problematic and I wouldn't want a Dem potus having it), give scotus a little street cred, and it really doesn't seem like TRUMP pays any political price for getting his shit struck down by the Court.
If anything, picking OrangeManBad cabinet nominees who just get voted down in the senate is the exact type of thing that libs will wrongly think resonates as a ground for political attack against TRUMP, while in actuality most ppl don't blame TRUMP for weird shit that he tries to make happen but never works (e.g., he demanded several times that the DOJ prosecute various hillary/biden ppl, but it was Dems that actually prosecuted their politically adversary, and the American ppl rightly notice this), and if anything will be a little sympathetic to him for trying to make shit happen and getting stuffed by the establishment. |
