My course has 2 driveable par 4s and 5 par 3s, so 6 or 7 potential hole in one chances. One is 310 but the last 100 yards are steep downhill and a 250-60 yard drive on flat ground can get to the green if you hit the right part of the fairway. Other is 275 to the middle of the green but with a big pond in front, but a 245 carry gets you to dry land. I usually just hit a 7 iron lay up on that one.

Course was built in the 60s when balls and equipment were much shittier, so modern equipment can overpower some holes.

srs ive never seen. one course i played as a kid had 3 3's, 3 5's and 12 4's. the front nine only had one 3 and one 5. it made it kind of boring to have a bunch of 4's. nice to have a mix of different holes.

I don't care about that at all

That's like a poker player being upset about never being dealt suited connectors and flopping a straight flush over straight flush and quads hit on turn with all the money in (happened to me twice)

In golf, literally my only goal is playing a full round with 1 ball

The average PGA has a left / right dispersion of 10 yards with a 7-IRON

Holing a wood off the tee is pure luck

I've come within a foot on my 2nd shot to eagle on par 5 a few times

That seems lucky as well

None of us was aiming for the specific spot that the ball dropped
