M3 Max with 96gb of RAM is good, or any m2 Ultra with RAM maxed out. If you want to do any of it training it's the only consumer platform that exists. It's also 3nm silicon whereas Nvidia is stuck at 5 or 6nm for most of what's out there
There's actually no yuge difference in M-series across generations either. They just get built on more advanced nodes each year. Same design, new node |
