Marty Supreme is a 2025 American sports comedy-drama film produced and directed by Josh Safdie, who co-wrote the script with Ronald Bronstein, loosely inspired by American table tennis player Marty Reisman.
Reisman was born on February 1, 1930, in Manhattan, New York to Sarah and Morris, an Ashkenazi Jewish couple.

Josh and Benny Safdie made a bunch of solid moves together
Then they divorced and Josh made "Marty Supreme" (best movie of year) and Benny made an arthouse movie with Dwayne "the rock" Johnson that I can't remember the name of

Smashing Machine is supposedly good, but extremely “wait for streaming”
It’s highly doubtful you would be able to confidently pick the ping pong movie version of Run Sammy Run over The Rock version of The Wrestler as the one that would be a financial and commercial hit.
Josh basically made a more refined version of Good Time and Uncut gems, so he’s looking like a one-trick pony, imo.
