If you're asking why Obama has to share power with Pelosi it's because she's still elected, still in power, still fundraising for other members of her party. I'm sure Obama has a PAC he's affiliated with and he obviously does fundraising but I assume Pelosi has a bigger draw than he does at least recently. She absolutely crushes coastal elite shitlib women donations. Donations = power in DC period.
But I do think Obama is at the tippy top of the power structure. He is the DNC. He brokered Pete to drop out of the race so Biden could trounce Bernie in 2020. He brokered Kamala's ascent and the Biden coup. He's the big dog. He is running the Democrat Party.
