Some of our investigators are former cops. I think others go through at least some kind of training in investigative techniques.
I think they are the best paid staff in our office after attorneys, but can be a lot of work when they get more serious cases like murders. Probably more interesting than being a paralegal at least |

I got a case dismissed recently where my client was accused of felony car theft. It turned out the “victim” just regretted selling the car to someone at a lower price than what he could have sold it for and then reported it stolen.
