- Sold SOL at 132 cost basis for 53k total, had put in 50k. Dont want to check now but it's prob worth arnd 100k now. If it goes to 500 Ill be veddy sad.

Other failures:

- QQQ Covered Calls last year, losing out on 100k "profits"

- 40yo old Filipino sailboat, 19k loss

- Selling hamburgers in a dirty filthy stall in Ho Chi Minh City, 5k loss

- Selling SOXL and some other 3x ETF's when SOXL was like $15. It peaked at $70 I think this year. Missed out on 100k's

- Accidently got called on some NVDA Puts at like $450 (before stock split) so I took ownership of shares. I had like $250k worth or something. I sold immediately. NVDA later went above $1,000. I wld have made 250k+

- During Covid I got scared and went 10-20% equities, the market immediately rebounded and I missed out on all those gains forever. Last I checked on my spreadsheet if I had just been 80% equities split between SPY and QQQ at start of 2020 and held it to now id have like 1.6m NW

Being "retired" really fucks with your ability to handle risk. If you had a steady paycheck you could put a quarter of your net worth in crypto and just see what happens.

When's the last time you made a non-trivial good decision and what was it?

this year i decided to reject slimepit and all social interactions and i think overall ive gone entire year with no drama

but that prob isnt what ur asking, i think when i went SOLOSHITLOL that worked out a tremendous decision

and also after first year solo i realized i didnt actually need to live in US, i cld be a nomad and still do that so i went to latin america and never really lived in US again, that was over 10 years ago

and even though im a retard in market at my peak at one point i was up like 600k+ from stocks, i had actually made more from stock gains than from working. i dont know now what it is
