I'm normally against carrying Israel's water, but I do have to say- they've done the heavy lifting already in destroying Iran's air defenses. It's in our own interests for Iran not to have nukes. So I say send the B-2s, but only against nuke targets, not refineries, etc.

there were some american neocons in the 90s who argued that such a war would be good for israel, but they were just doing coalition-building bullshit to strengthen their ties to other people who wanted the war (MIC types and desert storm superfans like dick cheney). basically there was a lot of post-cold war triumphalism and an assumption that it would be easily winnable and popular and good for our international image. so the ultra-interventionist faction of the political class, of which neocons and zionists were a part, all drank the kool-aid on it because they could all scratch each other's backs.
