gotta install all the software i use, figure out how to torrent and crack shit, install all the bios and software updates, set up printer and scanner, transfer a TB of files over to the new computer, set up my lightroom catalogue, get things backed up to dropbox, get windows 11 cleaned up to remove all the toxic bloatware and AI junk, etc |

I use x1 carbons for everyone at work and i always wipe them, install an enterprise version of Windows and then have to reinstall any programs I want and often drivers, etc. just so they run properly without tons of bloat.
Once they're set up they do run forever without issue. Can't say the same for the few (different lenovos) that I just let them use straight out of the box. Those are universally shitty, constantly crashing, having issues with displays, etc.
I don't like the mac interface for business but Windows shit is so annoying im considering switching although now this liquid glass shit is annoying af too so who knows wtf to do. |
