The tax issue has gotten a lot of discussion recently, but also it's not fun to live in the Great White North during hockey season, which spans winter. There's not much the NHL can to do about taxes, except perversely lobby for favorable treatment of professional athletes, but to solve the weather problem the league could move the season to the summertime.
