exactly but not for the standard reason (at least the one I've received). Satan is the making-into-a-perfect-image the intention of man in his self-righteousness. In this way the "light" can be easily confused for being of Christ when it is in fact a manufactured product of man in his sin, that is, a product of man's intention to make perfect that which is broken.
It becomes even trickier when we think about what it means to be moved by the holy spirit. The holy spirit is often said to be "a wind" and so we think many of our self-willed actions meant towards the realization of our perfect-images (made from self-righteousness) are acts "of the spirit." But brother keep in mind Ephesians 2:2, that Satan is “the ruler of the kingdom of the air." Many justify homosexuality on the grounds that it is motivated by the spontaneous human spirit. But don't be fooled -- it is motivated by man's self-righteous perfect-image.
The distinction between the ruler of the kingdom of air and the holy spirit is incredibly tricky. There is evil in good and good in the evil.. That's the nature of our fallenness and our need for Christ, who is the means by which we submit to the partiality of our person. The only holy spirit that is worth "living in" is the one motivated by the desire for Christ, which is the situation in which we make ourselves a fragment in the light of the person of the other (God being the highest personal other), who in his wholeness determines our personhood. Acting within this narrow road (Matt 7:14) of the spirit is the only means by which we act in the spirit and not in the person of the ruler of the air. Very tricky distinction.
