Do most of them even know how to get a “subsidy?” Dont these subsidies just have knock-on effects that make healthcare more expensive?

they just see lower prices when they go on the website to choose their plan for the year.

my sister and her husband have their own business and two kids. they pay about $2750/month for health insurance through the obamacare exchange. without the subsidy, it would be closer to $5k

how are they scamming? their business is a LLC and I am sure they recharacterize a lot of personal expenses as business to chisel taxes and lower income. but is that scamming?

2750 would be the pre subsidy cost unless they are on some absurd Cadillac plan.

Actually 2750 would be a Cadillac plan.

5,000 a month lmao

it helps people who start their own business and comes from Heritage. Better than them just showing up at the ER and blasting the fuck out of our hospital system

unless they have chronic conditions or don't have 12k to cover an annual deductible, they should be on a plan that costs like 14-18k/yr, tops

people way over value having shit like primary care visits covered / low copay
