I actually thought there were some interesting elements to it. The garish, tacky art style. The over the top ridiculous melodrama. I thought ok this is definitely out there, this is different. Some of the plot was cool. But then as it went on there were fight scenes where Jojo would fight some guy for like FOUR CONSECUTIVE EPISODES without advancing the plot. I just couldn't take it. You know tell a damn story. Spin a yarn. Build tension and make the audience care about the characters. No. Like absolutely endless fight scenes. It's insane. Like I guess this is what appeals to Japanese teenage boys which are the core audience? Idk. I just couldn't take it. Breaks too many rules of Aristotlian storytelling for me.
