I thought it was horrible too. Had a whole "baseball for dummies" vibe. Have we not been watching this game for over a hundred years now? 100% of people tuning in grasp the fundamentals of the game. Everyone knows the rules. Talk about why a pitcher is throwing inside, outside, fastballs, or breaking balls. Talk about the batter's approach. Simple stuff to make the AB exciting.
Another horribly cringe line the other day was they were talking about how great it was that the pitcher never deviates from the catcher's signs and how this gave the catcher "confidence" to call the game and the pitcher never thought for himself lol. They went on about this for a long time.
