i didn't vote as i despise both candidates and believe that are fatal flaws with both of them.
i have political views that dont neatly fit into either party, but wont bore you all explaining them
but to use an example, i would have supported someone like tulsi or mark kelly had they been candidates. if rfk jr had stayed on the ballot i probably would have voted for him even though i know he's insane

he has a really impressive background.
-decorated navy pilot
-space shuttle commander
-masters in aeronautical engineering (i personally would love to have a prez that's not a goddamn lolyer)
-and yes, stayed by his wife's side and helped her recover after shot
hes very high iq and moderate dem who very strongly believes in serious immigration reform. he's also science-focused but not in a HURR DURR LETS TALK ABOUT HOW MEN ARE ACTUALLY WOMEN. he wants the US to position itself to be able to succeed vs china and other countries this century. from what i've seen (someone correct me if i'm wrong), he is not a race-baiter or identitity politician, which i appreciate greatly. he's a dem like old school dems used to be before they became absolutely batshit crazy about race and gender. and he's not overly polarizing. he's a logic dude.
i wish he had been the dem candidate, i would have wholeheartedly supported him.

Growing cynicism and antipathy towards Student Council and student self-governance as a whole would be epitomized by the election of 1979. That year, John S. Serpe ran unopposed for Student Council president, losing by a vote of 1743 to 1688 to “Howard the Duck” - a fictional write-in candidate. Although he did serve as President it remains an embarrassing moment in the organization’s history when the true winner was a fictional duck.
