20% in SCHG (growth stocks, all sectors ETF)
20% in VGT (vanguard tech ETF)
20% in SMH (semiconductors ETF)
you may or may not have seen but i engaged a financial advisor over the summer who tried to get me to roll over $675k from an old 401k into an "indexed annuity." i obviously fired his ass.
i rolled the money into my current firm's 401k, which is self directed. my money is allocated as i noted above. since early september, the 675k has gone to about 820k (i am discounting the $20k or so that i contributed since then - overall balance rn is like 845k).
