Visited a Lowe's for the First Time; Here are my Thoughts. (LTM)

Date: October 8th, 2024 4:22 PM Author: LathamTouchedMe Never been to Lowe's before. Never really did any home improvement work or picked anything out for renovations. Right now we have our contractor doing it but there were a few minor odds and ends we had to shop around for.
First impression. The parking lot. There are reserved spaces for veterans only. I'm not joking. Not just disabled vets, but just plain old veterans. How do they go about verifying their status? We can easily verify handicapped individuals, but veterans! What's more ridiculous is that a vet who's more able-bodied than I am gets preferred parking in front of the store. It's really over-the-top.
In the store I spot a guy with a red MAGA hat. Ok, fine. It's NY, but it's a home improvement store. Their domain. See lots of scruffy white and hispanic dudes too. But then I see this large hispanic dude with a t-shirt that says "D.A.D.D.D. - Dads Against Daughters Dating Democrats". And he was with his little daughter. WTF. Libs don't wear shirts that completely dehumanize others. Maybe they advocate, but lol at something like that garbage shirt.
Just thought xo would find my two observations hilarious. Trip was otherwise uneventful.
*The house and furniture look beautiful. Really nailing the "contemporary colonial" look. |
