Too much criticism for being trashy or wiggerish but they were an awesome ban and could fucking rock.

I'm listening to CSFAHFW and I forgot how good they were. Significant Other even better.

Some things get crapped on. Has nothing to do with how “good” they actually were. Xennials crapped on everything basically. And remember none of this crap arose organically, it was just record companies hiring wiggers. I would call LB more entertaining than good.

Thats fine, they weren't quite a Tool but they were better than Papa Roach. They had too many songs with too many great hooks for that.

They were loud and aggressive and high energy and I think the emergent hipster ironic culture in the 2000s really latched on LB as something that both they could mock but also frightened them. Fred Durst is an alpha male and hipsters don't like that.

Fred Durst is a 30+ BMI tub of goo who ruined the band with his awful voice and even worse lyrics. He’s the epitome of a beta male trying to make up for his blatant insecurities by running a lame and transparent tough guy schtick that he would never actually do IRL because he knows he would get his ass kicked. Wes was cool/talented and should’ve never reunited with the band, but I get that the financial upside was too much to pass up.

Exactly correct. And literally every other vocalist in a rap rock/nu metal band from the era was a billion times better, all in different ways. Godsmack dude picks piece of corn out of his shit that are tough than Fred “Fat Faggot” Durst. Korn, System of the Down, RATM, Deftones, Slipknot, pretty much anyone else we could name.

Ok but there’s just something astroturf about it. Anything post-grunge just felt fake and gay. Like not nearly as “serious” and therefore a Joke. People were more likely to crap on it because it was less serious. The same way one could playfully sing along to “please tell me why my car is in my front yard and Im sleeping with my clothes on,” in a way you never would with Pearl Jam.

lol zero jocks listened to LB after like 2002. lol at jocks being a taste barometer, but every jock liked RATM and 311 way more, mainly because it was much more useful as background music when fucking girls. I assume this might be different in redneck parts of Florida, but everyone from Florida should kill themselves anyway and God will take care of it soon enough if they don’t.

lol guaranteed I was way more than you were in high school. I played high football and basketball, dated and fucked cheerleaders, went to popular kid parties. My grades and SAT scores were too good, and I liked a lot of music (and movies and TV) that they had never heard of, so the jocks always viewed me as an interloper. But I hung out with them enough to know what they were into. 311 and Sublime were dominant leaders because they made chicks happy/want to dance and say “woo”/drink more. Limp Bizkit was what the closeted homo dudes liked when they wanted to rid the room of females and then “slam dance” and wrestle ie commence their homofag foreplay. HTH.

Wrong on all counts. 311, while a great band, was not a jock band. And they were big in the 90s. You say that Limp Bizkit wasn't popular past 02? You just contradicted yourself there sport. Sublime was universal scumbag stoner music, so there was some overlap. You clearly have never touched a football in your life.

Started at RT for two seasons, bruh. Admittedly I didn’t touch the ball much at that position. I’m sure this varied by region and this being XO you are presumably from the NY/NJ area where fat douches like Fred Durst were inspirational for the fat losers who are from there. Admittedly the 311 peak was more like 1996, but I was in college and going to parties with bros back home over Christmas break by 2003 and LB was a joke to everyone by then. The biggest rock records then were Linkin Park (who absorbed the majority of LB fans) and the early 00s hipster stuff like White Stripes and the Strokes. Seven Nation Army literally became like a folk music level riff that is sung by fans at sporting events a capella to this day and LB was completely dismissed and forgotten for 20+ years now. But in 2003 Sublime and 311 were still suitable drinking music for kids trying to get laid **because girls didn’t hate it***. Sorry that you’re a gay homo who wanted to wrestle with other boys, but actual straight football players always hated you and thought you were weird. HTH.

Again, this is wrong. No football players liked LinkedIn Park. That was strictly for the goth/losery types. Imagine being a jock (with a father who cared about you) singing LinkedIn Park songs about how you hate your dad. Just didn't happen. If you were actually a jock you would know this. Sublime was always there but 311 generally was not included. Limp Bizkit was generally on the way out around the early 2000s in popularity but was never a joke, people just moved on. But the wigger hip hop rap jock era around then was huge, which is what that progressed to.

Strokes were popular for like a year and weren't really a jock band.

Also, outted as being a weird shut in loser for not going home over Thanksgiving break to party.
