I’m out here at night splitting wood, splitting atoms, giving thanks, breathing life into creation with a maul and a wedge and nothing but brute strength

Split those huge logs
Separate pile for the smaller stuff
Exthperth recommend alternating the rows 90 degrees to encourage airflow but I never bother with that, I just don't stack super tight and let air do what it do
But ur sloppy pyramid shows you started with a semblance of organization then got lazy and started tossing pieces on top aka the story of ur life: beginning a task in earnest, rapidly getting shittier, and quitting while blaming an obesity-related ailment

My guy you seem to have made a pyre rather than a usable wood pile.
On the plus side you’re set for a sick bonfire.

I grew up in the log woods of the Deep South. I love to split wood. I was in charge of building the fire growing up, and our house didn't have central air/heat.
I had this special technique where I would gather rich pine/lighter pine/fat wood. I'd split that with an ax. Then I'd take the little sticks of it and break them with my hands over the top of the ax handle with the ax standing up. Think the motion where you break a stick over your knee. This would produce 2 splintery ends on the rich pine. They ignite instantly and fast.
So I'd pile a few of the splintery rich pine in the fireplace, and layer thin sticks of regular dried pine on top. When it got going, I'd stack in the oak and other hardwood like sweetgum. I'd have that thing heated up in no time.
