Date: October 4th, 2024 12:10 PM Author: MASE The idea is this: Step 1: Polls close. Step 2: See how many registered voters on the voter rolls didn't end up voting. Step 3: Print as many ballots as there are non-voting registered voters to get Kamala the margin she needs.
So when people say she doesn't have the numbers, what they're saying is that that number isn't big enough to get Kamala the margin she needs. |

The demographics aren't better now than they were in 2020 and 2016. They're worse. That's the main reason.
Nonstop media that trump is a criminal and a danger to the country will have some effect on the margins.
Trumps base is more emboldened but I think some former supporters are tired of him.
Kamala will get anti Trump votes but I don't think Trump will get any votes of people who really don't like Kamala the way a mediocre republican would. |

Be prepared for a Kamala 52% win because that's 52% who refuses to vote for Trump under any circumstances and official polling does seem to indicate it. It could end up being an anticlimatic election night. But also be prepared for a "surprise" Trump 52% win and hysterics on MSNBC because the polling, once again, failed to capture the elusive Trump-voting demographic like it did in 2020 and 2016. It could go either way.
I don't want the Democrats to win, I hate what they have become and the explosive growth of authoritarianism in the party to the point they're even casting doubts on the first amendment (!) is deeply worrisome. The parallels between Democratic mechanisms and the Soviet Kremlin is real. Destroying democratic norms in America to save democracy! The hypocrisy is staggering. But the complexity of my own feelings also has to do with that I don't like Donald Trump at all and much of what he's done during this campaigning season has only reminded me of why I don't like Trump. He boasted about refusing to rehearse for the debate despite that if he loses this election he likely will end up in jail. He has no discipline nor focus despite that the stakes are quite high, both for himself and for the America we once knew. |

Trump needs all the cult to show up, and motivate enough of the centrist Rs and independents through his combo platter of fear, gaslighting, and free stuff (that is almost surely just bs). A lot of people are tired of the act and are going to stay home.
