IMO most of his broad appeal comes from the fact that he got his initial outside capital after he wrote about good investment ideas on a Web 1.0 forum in his spare time. Gives him a sort of "everyman" appeal to people who want to believe more than anything that the system is going to fail and they'll be proven "right." |
