He was totally railroaded. These chicks knew what the deal was.
Also LOLd at this
Do people in here talk to you about your movies? Do they pitch you scripts?
Not really. They only want to talk about Quentin Tarantino.

stream of conscious thoughts:
i had a mixed reaction as i read it, seeing multifaceted shades in the interview. the good: his ego, his talent, his drive, ambition, i was jealous of how easy his immediate recall of proper names and film titles and such was. he is so physically repulsive that i understand how the psyche compensates for failed sexual relations in adolescence with an overabundance and focus on it in adulthood. i don't think he physically raped anyone, but he sure seemed to bully women into sex - although some went willingly attracted to power in the hopes it would help their careers. and i'm sure there was a big pile-on effect once it became popular to attack him publicly and hope for a financial payout, most abandoned him. and it seems like he has some anger at his treatment but isn't entirely bitter over it all. i assume that if he were back in power and wouldn't get caught/in trouble he would do it all again. his reputation preceded him and i'm sure all his hanger-ons, including his wife, knew about his cheating and his behavior (well, not entirely sure, but i assume so), and most of the relationships were transactional. it also seems to me like gwynneth paltrow probably did knife him in the back when it became popular to do so. so it was pretty easy material overall to assimilate - to see people as contradictory and containing good and evil, to see the gray between being a sexual bully and being a predator (behavior which long preceded weinstein, hollywood is and has been known for that), etc. i didn't like weinstein for being plugged into the democrat machine with hillary back in the day and didn't mind him being railroaded into prison on that basis (which happened after her protection receded in 2017 after having lost 2016 election - if she had won, probably no Me Too), and perhaps he hasn't developed real humility, but being in prison for 23 hours a day and losing almost all of one's connections after being at such lofty heights would indeed sting. weinstein mentions he has to be introspective in prison because there's nothing else to do, this is true, contrast this with jeffrey epstein who in his interview with bannon said he didn't think about what he had done at all while in jail -- that answer to me was really bizarre
