Date: December 2nd, 2025 10:56 AM Author: misunderstood school I do understand their case. Played the most top 10 teams. Lost to tOSU by less than any other team OSU played. Got smoke by Georgia but a lot of teams with bids got smoked. If they had scheduled a cupcake week 1 they'd be in.
Seven at large bids. Do they deserve one? |

The 4 team playoff began to avoid another scenario where 3 teams could plausibly say they should be in the NCG. No team on the bubble can have any claim that they deserve to be in the NCG. So the playoff has more than taken care of the problem it was fixing.
Of course that reason has been totally lost and these expansions are ridiculous. Should immediately go back to a 4 team playoff or even better return to BCS and just acknowledge there will be some tough calls some years. |
