TPC Sawgrass looks like a SoCal golf course dropped into a swamp

there are no hills in Florida south of I-10 so every course is completely flat. Sawgrass is cool because it's so overbuilt and manicured and obviously very well funded that it's almost cartoonlike.
ITE was sweet in that regard bc you could play courses like that for like $150. Now it's like $475 a round.
edit: nm, apparently I can play the stadium course on 3/31 at 2pm for the low price of $875. fuck this gay earth.

theres a lot more little hills than a normal FL swamp course because the land wasnt originally swampy at all. makes it look more socal or carolina pines i suppose
the construction of the highway(before the course was there) to the east changed that but the some of the ponds are totally man made including the one on 17. that wasnt supposed to be anything close to an island but they kept digging so much sand out that pete dye said fuck it thats a good idea when his wife suggested it

What are your favorite Pete Dye courses on the east coast?
The Ocean City and Baltimore adjacent ones look like "hidden gems"

cant say anythings better than kiawah ocean but long cove would be my #1 choice to play regularly
not familiar with any of his courses in MD unless youre talking about bulle rock which ive never played but it looked pretty good on TV when they played a women's "major" there a handful of times
east coast Dye that was a hidden gem imo was wintonbury hills in CT. not the best but really good for a muni built a couple decades ago
