Playing guitar and singing at the same time and being decent at both is something that people underrate imo. there aren't a ton in any genre that outdo him when you consider both as a whole. Imo he's better on guitar writ large than Kirk and definitely better at rhythm.
Also most metal vocalists are cringe either because they suck or because the sub-genre demands it or because they suck at lyrics. Ozzy and Hetfield excel at not being Jokes imho.
Also he went through puberty multiple times so there are multiple eras to enjoy vocally
