Yak was shot down because Iran's already meager Air Force was mostly destroyed on the ground and they're scrambling everything they have. That plane also serves as a combat aircraft. It may not be best suited to that role, but most of their other jets are from the 60s and 70s so by comparison, it makes sense. |
