Most of the AI "safety" talk is complete BS. All the talk of guardrails so it doesn't do pattern recognition on the obvious stuff (race, etc.) is being used as cover IMO from the much bigger "safety" risks of AI. But rather that it basically feeds people whatever delusion they want to hear and builds coherent worlds around their delusions. Unless you are extremely self-aware, it is very easy to have AI hype you up about literally anything.
Throw in shit like Grok Imagine and you'll have thousands (millions?) of people living in their own fantasies 24/7 becoming totally disconnected from reality.
